Perfect Villa to have a Relaxing Vacation!
A personal housekeeper, who is part of the staff, is included from Monday to Saturday to make your vacation the ultimate in relaxation. If you take our all-inclusive plan she comes Sundays too. Casa Paraíso is amidst beautiful nature.
It offers a good location for activities like bird watching, surfing, fishing, playing in the ocean (we have a 2-person kayak) and paddle boarding into the estuary right next to us. After that, enjoy your drink at the pool, watching out over the Pacific!
Your getaway villa in Nayarit Mexico
Built underneath two large palapas, Casa Paraíso feels like it belongs on a remote tropical island. It offers a magnificent view of the Pacific Ocean and the northern coastline.
Take a dip in your private pool, or soak up some rays on a lounger, all in secluded, luxurious privacy. On top of that, our friendly staff is always nearby to help you with whatever you may need.
The small town of Platanitos is only half a mile away. Enjoy a leisurely stroll to the town, which in fact is no more than the beach of Platanitos. Along this beach are several fish restaurants and 2 very small stores. Don’t expect anything fancy, it’s very local.
We recommend having Zarandeado at one of the restaurants at the beach. It’s a traditional way of grilling fish, which originated in Nayarit. The fish is often split in half from head to tail before it’s grilled over hot coals in a wood-fired oven.
Romantic Getaway in Nayarit
Casa Paraíso features an open circular kitchen with a center island and breakfast bar. We offer an additional meal plan so that you don’t have to cook. This includes 3 meals a day, snacks, juices, sodas, and beer.
It costs $240 USD per adult per week, children 5-12 are half price, children under 5 are for free. The staff will do all the shopping, while your housekeeper prepares your delicious Mexican meals!
Relax in our Mexican Paradise!
Multiple living areas provide everyone with plenty of personal space and ample choices for seating, relaxing and socializing. The outdoor living area features an oceanfront pool built into the terrace. This beautiful villa is cozy enough for an intimate getaway and big enough for a holiday with your family.
* The maximum number of guests for Casa Paraíso is 5 for 2 bedrooms, 7 for 3 bedrooms, we allow 1 person more if at least 1 of the guests is 12 years or younger.

We stayed here with our family for a week. The drive from Puerto Vallarta was worth it. The open-air layout with the crashing ocean just below the house was spectacular. The peninsula the house sits on is really unique. Amazing but very different views to the north, the west, and the south. Our housekeeper was great. The property manager, Ismael was very helpful. Temperatures in late January were a very comfortable 75º during the day and a bit chilly 58º at night – perfect sleeping weather to the sounds of the waves striking the rocks below.
The only downsides (but not enough to keep us from coming back) were that the pool was not heated at all and was too cold to use (UPDATE: since 2020 the pool can be heated!). If it were heated, we would have spent lots of time in it gazing at the stars at night. Also, we didn’t use the meal plan and discovered that there are really no decent restaurants closer than a 25-minute drive. The beach restaurants we tried just below the neighborhood ranged from terrible to just OK. Overall it was a fantastic stay.
We felt really fortunate to have found this gem! The location on a cliff overlooking crashing waves is amazing., And to the south, you have an almost deserted white sandy beach with near perfect surf! The food plan was great but make sure to walk to Platanitos at least once to enjoy the freshly grilled fish Sarandeado. Delicious! If you are coming here to surf make sure to bring all the gear. There are only a few soft top long boards available.
If you are a light sleeper bring earplugs, otherwise, the waves crashing onto the rocks below your bedroom will keep you up! Casa Iguana worked perfectly for our family of 5 and our stay here will be unforgettable!
We had a wonderful time in Platanitos–and Casa Iguana played a huge role in making it just right. The villa is every bit as lovely as it looks in the photos–with two great bedrooms open to the ocean breezes and sounds. The dipping pool and surrounding patio is a perfect place from which to take in the sunset, read a book, play games, or just lounge.
Having daily meals prepared by Sophia–but being able to eat them at your leisure in your home-away-from-home is now setting the vacation bar quite high. Ismael and the staff were all attentive and helpful throughout. We (family of four with kids 10 and 13) surfed every day at Playa Tortugas–we rented surfboards in Sayulita at WildMex–and also benefited from some great instructors from there as well.
It was fun to kayak up the estuary, and explore the beach. We took a couple of outings to nearby towns, but nothing more is needed than relaxing on the property. The place seems to attract owners and visitors that are outdoorsy and hospitable, so we were not lacking for socializing either. We hope to be back!
As a group of 9 adults, ages 27 to 64, staying in Casa Iguana and Voz del Mar all agreed that the accommodation was superior and the oceanfront setting spectacular. Each property had its own private plunge pool with unobstructed ocean views. Customer service from Airport Pickup to in-house maids was exceptional.
Our maids in both properties were excellent cooks and treated us to the best authentic Mexican food using fresh local produce and seafood. We took trips to the Crocodile hatchery, San Blas and Waterfall hike, all of which were guided by the friendly and knowledgeable on-site staff. Best holiday ever! Will definitely return.
Our family of four (11 and 13-year-old kids) loved our stay at Casa Iguana. The house is artistically designed and integrated with the natural surroundings in an incredibly beautiful setting. Everyone we interacted with, from booking with Michel to the daily cook Lydia, was fantastic. The walk to the pool and beach were easy and relaxing in such a safe, beautiful environment. (Don’t miss the turtle reserve on the beach below!).
We loved that every house was different and yet lovely in its own way. The only drawback for us was the many bug bites we got even while using bug spray etc. Iguana doesn’t have windows and doors that close up completely – it’s designed for indoor-outdoor living. Although this is a wonderful concept for a tropical vacation, it was not ideal for us. We are perhaps more prone to bites than others and it is hopefully an anomaly but I thought I should mention it. In our case, it was the price you pay for such a unique, authentic set up like this one. Overall we would highly recommend any of the homes at Punta Custodio!
