This private Mexican villa is a perfect option for larger groups and families because of its open, spacious living/ kitchen area and 4 separate bedrooms that offer private space, located in 3 separate ‘casitas’.

Casa Colibri is one of the 9 luxury vacation rentals within the private vacation community Punta el Custodio, in Riviera Nayarit, Mexico. This vacation rental overlooks one of Mexico’s prime surf beaches. The community provides panoramic views of the gleaming Pacific, the river mouth of an estuary, and an endless beach.

If you are with more than 4 guests and you don’t take the food plan, then there is an additional charge of $370 MN per day. This is because with more than 4 guests an extra housekeeper is needed. You pay this $370 MN per day in cash, during your stay, to Ismael Franco, our on-site property manager.

Local Food Shopping

The beauty of Punta el Custodio is its secluded location on the Pacific coast. Since there aren’t grocery stores around, we’ve created a generous meal plan, provided by the on-site manager, at $280 USD per person per week. Kids under 13 are 1/2 price, kids under 5 are free. The meals are based on authentic local recipes and feature fresh, organic ingredients. Our guests love it, go read the reviews!

Safe for kids!

The private pool of Casa Colibri is a total magnet for little kids, it seems they like spending a good part of the day in it. The pool is immediately accessible from the living room, it has no drop-off down a rocky cliff, as do the infinity pools.

In short, Casa Colibri and its private pool is very kid friendly. The pool is small and safe enough for a local baby sitter to mind and to protect the kids if the parents go on a day trip. The pool can be heated for $35 USD/day (83° F, 29° C).

Unique Villa

The living and kitchen are sheltered under a massive palapa that opens out to gardens and a private pool. The full-service kitchen is spacious, modern, and is run by Moña, the housekeeper who will prepare your meals when you order our meal plan. The marble dining table in the center of the open living area sits 14 and was hand-crafted by artisans in Guadalajara.
The artwork of this villa is inspired by traditional Mexican Talavera tile and regional designs. Casa Colibri offers 4 air-conditioned bedrooms, each with a full bath. Two bedrooms have king size beds, one bedroom has a queen size, and one has twin beds which makes it perfect for kids. Each suite has a full bath. The upstairs master bedroom has a large terrace.

Nayarit Wildlife

Casa Colibri is tucked into the luscious gardens of the property, featuring tall palm trees and hibiscus flowers all around. The private pool can be heated at $25 USD per day (83° F or 29° C). A 2-minute walk from the community pool, you’ll enjoy days full of sunshine and a comfortable space to read and spend time with friends and family.

You have access to surfing, bird-watching, whale-watching, deep-sea fishing, and eco-adventure tours. The villa is built on 2 lots, which makes it ideal for those who value private time. The estuary right next to us attracts millions of shorebirds and waterfowl. From November through March you will be able to see calving whales and dolphins.

 

 * The maximum number of guests for Casa Colibri is 8, we allow 2 persons more if at least 2 of the 10 are 12 years old or younger.
