Traditional Mexican Style. Modern Comforts.

Beautifully decorated and furnished in traditional Mexican style, this is an ideal vacation home for family and friend group holidays. The accommodation sleeps 8 comfortably, or 10 guests if you are staying with two children under 12 years old. The rustic furniture, high beamed ceilings and bold colors stay true to the region’s design.

Local artisanal materials, such as Talavera tiles, Mexican artwork, and ceramic flooring, are combined with modern domotics. Rural in style it may be, but Casa Lazuli has been finished to the highest quality for your comfort and enjoyment. Central air conditioning and ceiling fans keep the main house cool during the heat of summer.

Gorgeous bedrooms with view

There are two bedrooms within the main house and two bedrooms in an independent casita behind the main house. The master bedroom is located on the upper floor of the villa and affords spectacular views of the Pacific and Playa Tortugas. Furnished with a beautiful king-size bed, fitted wardrobes and set of drawers, it features a traditional high wooden rafter ceiling with ceiling fan. The en suite master bathroom is installed with washbasin, toilet, and a private balcony shower, which is walled in, but not covered.

If you have dreamt of taking a shower in perfectly natural surroundings, with the sounds of the ocean and jungle around you, this will be heaven! The second en suite bedroom is located on the ground floor with patio doors that afford dazzling views to the Pacific. The bedroom is furnished with two queen-size beds, wardrobe and various chairs and tables. This bedroom is ideal for families with children. Or grandparents and children, if you’re daydreaming of a lie-in during your vacation!

Let the sound of the waves lull you to sleep. We promise you’ll sleep like a baby with our super comfortable mattresses and quality linens. It features an en suite bathroom. The two bedroomed casita features one bedroom with two queen-size beds and a second bedroom with one queen bed. Both have en suite bathrooms installed with a walk-in shower, washbasin and WC. Step out to the terrace where the surf breaks in front of your eyes. Magical!

Living and Dining

Like all of Casa Lazuli the living area is spacious with traditional double height wood beamed ceilings and central ceiling fan. The walls are adorned with Mexican art; and comfortable sofas and armchairs provide ample seating for your group. But who wants to spend too much time indoors? There are patio doors on two sides of the lounge which lead out to the beautiful covered terrace with dining table and chairs.

The fully equipped kitchen also opens out to the terrace, and although you might not need to spend too much time cooking at Casa Lazuli with our meal-plan option, the central island breakfast bar is a beautiful spot to enjoy a freshly squeezed juice in the morning. The kitchen is well equipped with a large oven, stove, grill, fridge freezer, microwave, coffee maker and toaster, plus plenty of pots, pans and utensils.

Terraces and Pool

Various terraces wrap the villa, bordered by lush tropical foliage. You can enjoy views to the ocean and beach from pretty much every corner. Watch the fisherman casting nets from their pangas (small boats) and diving for oysters. There is access to the terraces from most rooms: living area, bedrooms and kitchen. A gorgeous infinity pool has been built into the side of the terrace.

Swim up to the side and look out to the sparkling blue ocean and beyond. After a dip in the pool there are plush sun loungers on which you can dry off under the Mexican sun. Or find a shady spot and lie back and enjoy an afternoon siesta. There are two covered terraces, one that leads from the lounge and a second palapa covered terrace with mobile bar, where you can watch the sunset over the Pacific.

BEYOND EXPECTATIONS

Pictures do not show the beauty of this home nor the perfect location.
We arrived in the evening with dinner waiting for us) Completely in awe of the size of the home, we toured saying the word “wow” every 30 seconds.

The view left us breathless, I could not wait to sleep and wake up to the view.. it felt like Christmas Eve when I was 5 years old!

Michel was our primary connection and he was quick to respond to my many questions leading up to our visit. A special thank you to your assistance in recommending the casa, as well as introducing me to Ismael (the site manager)

Ismael is incredible! He lined up two surf instructors to arrive the next morning and daily massage for us by Erika

Rocio was our beautiful chef and housekeeper. She was friendly and very attentive to what we needed without asking. Her cooking is really good and pressed fresh orange juice each morning.

One thing I missed during my planning was to BRING CASH! I Somehow missed that note in our correspondence, and only brought a minimal amount. I’m grateful that Ismael trusts us enough to wait till the last day to go to the bank machine. As the nearest one is 45 minutes away. I’ll be smarter next time!

We are planning to return very soon! Hoping for annually!

EXTREMELY BEAUTIFUL HOUSE WITH EXCELLENT STAFF

We had 8 adults and two young children, the house was perfect. Everyone was very comfortable. I can’t say enough about how great everyone was to work with. From my initial booking on VRBO to the transportation (arranged through Ismael) back to the airport. The food was amazing! I would definitely book again.

AMAZING PLACE TO GET AWAY

Perfect place for our group of 6 adults and 2 kids. Food prepared by Rocio was absolutely amazing, every meal unique. Wonderful place to completely disconnect and relax (no tv, phone, or internet)

FANTASTIC PROPERTY, BEAUTIFUL LOCATION

A beautiful and secluded location with good access to miles of uncrowded beaches. The home sits on a low bluff, just a few meters from the ocean with excellent southern exposure for unrestricted sun and ocean views. The home was well designed to accommodate our family of 7 with spacious indoor and outdoor living areas. The property and villa staff were gracious and accommodated our every need. The food was excellent and abundant as was the onsite and offsite management and service.

AMAZING!

I can’t say enough about how wonderful Casa Lazuli is. First I need to praise Lorena and Raquel. The food was beyond 5 stars. They were always so pleasant and so willing to work with any requests we made. The entire staff was eager to please and very quick to respond to any needs or issues we might have. Ismael was so very helpful and always available to answer questions and help make arrangements and make sure things were in perfect working order. The grounds are absolutely stunning with so many beautiful flowers, plants and trees. We have definitely put it on our list to return asap!

SOUL FREEING

Just returned from Costa Custodio and Casa Lazuli. We had wanted to stay at this particular villa because of its unique location facing the open ocean and the estuary (which we did cross at low tide…very tricky and not for the faint of heart or body)! And indeed, the view is spectacular! The villa itself is open and airy, very comfortable and has several areas for relaxation and view appreciation.

As others have mentioned, Punta el Custodio is off the beaten path and quite remote, so if you need more “action” other than arranged outings or tours, this is not your place. But if you need to get away and set your soul free, Lazuli fits the bill. A few notes…if you are addicted to your wifi device, you might need to go elsewhere. Internet service was spotty for us. Also, there were bats in the upstairs bedroom, but they roosted in the thatch roof the first night then they simply were gone after that. Overall I rate this property a five, if for nothing else, for the view alone.
