Our friendly staff does their best to make you feel right at home in the villa. Apart from the jungle gardens, which are taken care of by 3 full-time gardeners, our beautiful community pool, and unspoiled beaches, this house offers plenty of amenities. Corona del Mar features 4 bedrooms, all with en suite bathroom, and a cozy game room stacked with plenty of movies, board games and books.

Meal Plan at Corona Del Mar
What you get
The mandatory meal plan at Casa Corona del Mar is being handled by Elizabeth, your housekeeper/cook, and her assistent. You will get three authentic, delicious Mexican meals a day, prepared with with fresh and local ingredients. Included are fresh juices, coffee, sodas, snacks, fruit, bottled water and 3 beers per adult per day. Liquor and wine are not included.
You pay for the meal plan 3 weeks before arrival, to the owners in the US.

We don’t give discounts on the meal plan, even if you skip meals because you will eat somewhere else. We offer the meal plan at a very low cost, it gets too complicated if we have to deduct meals from the total cost.
Perfect Family Getaway
There are several seating areas on the large terrace, all of which overlook the ocean and offer privacy even for a bigger group. The infinity pool, which can be heated at an extra cost, is surrounded by lounge chairs. Pelicans and other exotic birds will be flying by only a few feet from the terrace. You can dine outdoors while enjoying the sunny Mexican weather.
The villa has a sound system with speakers strategically placed all around the sitting area so you can listen to your favorite music both inside and on the terrace. The mix of rustic, Mexican traditional, and modern styles are a perfect blend that gives the villa a look and feel of harmony and relaxation. Corona del Mar is perfect for a big group getaway and families.

Impressive Mexican Villa
Corona del Mar has 2 master bedrooms – one on the first floor that opens to the patio and one upstairs featuring a private balcony. Both rooms have ocean views and king size beds. The other 2 bedrooms are located at the back of the house and are cozy and quiet.
They both have a patio with a garden where you can enjoy your morning coffee. All bedrooms are fully air-conditioned, have ceiling fans and private bathrooms. This Mexican villa rental comfortably sleeps 8; we allow 10 guests if at least 2 are 12 years or younger.

Casa Corona del Mar sits on a breathtaking cliffside along the Nayarit coastline located in the small town of Platanitos. To the north, you have a view of turquoise waters and deserted beaches. The infinity pool looks over the Pacific Ocean. The community pool area and gardens are just around the corner.

Unspoiled Playa Tortugas
Right next to us you will find 12 miles long beautiful, unspoiled Playa Tortugas, at a 10-minute walk from the house. This is a peaceful and relaxing escape (although crossing the river mouth of the estuary can be an adventure because of the current in between tides. We’ve provided a tide chart at the house).
During the week you will hardly see anyone at the beach or in the ocean, so you’ll have it all to yourself. During the weekend you may see a few surfers and families on the beach. Here you can surf, paddle board, whale and dolphin-watch in season and see exotic birds in their natural habitat.

The stylish open kitchen has top of the line counter tops, fine appliances and all the amenities you may need for your stay. You will enjoy your Mexican meals at a big dining table for 10. This villa comes with Martha, your dedicated housekeeper who cooks, cleans and does laundry. We strongly suggest taking our additional meal plan, recommended by all of our guests.
Your housekeeper will prepare 3 daily meals, all of which are based on traditional recipes and organic ingredients. Her mole, banana bread, and fresh guacamole are to die for. This is a beautiful property perfect for a large group. We were a group of 9, with 6 adults and 3 children spanning 3 generations. Casa Corona del Mar is a perfect place for a family or friends to spend some time together and still have enough room to engage in various activities.
There’s a TV room with plenty of board games available for everyone to convene together. The home and environment are even more breathtaking than the pictures convey. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and the staff was amazing, preparing wonderful meals daily and taking care of our every need. This home is just a short walking distance from the beautiful beach and is relaxing in every manner. We got the meal plan, and our refrigerators (indoor and poolside) were stocked daily with beverages including beer, sodas, bottled water, etc.
If you should desire other drinks, you can purchase hard alcohol or wine at reasonable rates in their local office/store. All other supplies should be picked up en route from the airport, as the property is in an isolated area perfect for relaxing, but with no markets close by. Our kids (7 & 8 years old) enjoyed the freedom of being able to meander around and explore the property and gated community without the constant need for supervision. Very safe and amazing. Definitely look forward to visiting again.
Casa Corona Del Mar is even more spectacular than the photos suggest. The house is immaculately maintained with decorator level design. The open-air living allowed us to connect with the gorgeous lush landscaping. Each bedroom was very comfortable with soft linens and beautiful views. The staff was kind and helpful. The meals they prepared were consistent with what we understand to be consistent with local cuisine, which added to the feeling of not being in “tourist Mexico.”
The beach is spectacular for all it offers: small waves for kids to boogie board or body surf in, a river to float or swim in, an estuary to kayak into, large waves for adult boogie boarding or surfing, shelling, a long flat beach perfect for jogging, and utter tranquility with almost no one sharing it with you! The community is amazing with cobblestone paths winding through lush jungle leading to the community pool or beach. We WILL be back!!
This neighborhood of villas is beyond expectations! The staff here is very friendly even with a language barrier. We were very pleased with the food plan. Marta kept our bellies happy and the house clean!
This is our second visit to Punta Custodio and is a first to Casa Corona del Mar. We were the organizers our group of 4 couples and could not have been happier. It is always hard to find a property that makes everyone happy – equal bedrooms, great common space etc. Casa Corona fit the bill and more – this home is amazing and an incredible value…one of our friends commented that they kept expecting Mick Jagger to walk through the door. We participated in the meal plan – which I highly recommended.
Our typical day would start with coffee and a surf, returning for a wonderful breakfast, nap/read, lunch then more surf, dinner, and relaxation. The meals were amazing. We had some food allergies and a pescetarian in the group and this was not a problem for our amazing cooks. We are already talking about when we will return.
